Just by Basel, at the start of the navigable Rhine, lies the charming little “Zähringer” town of Rheinfelden. The historic town centre with its typical wide market street and delightful side lanes is an inviting area in which to wander, explore and do some shopping.
In 1846, when the salt baths opened in Rheinfelden, the little town enjoyed international fame. In 2016 the whole border town of Rheinfelden (Canton Aargau) was delighted to receive the Wakker Prize. Today, with its health centre, the “sole uno” World of Well-being and the Park-Hotel am Rhein, Rheinfelden is a well-known centre for Health & Well-being.
